September 9th, 2020 by

Everyone knows you go to Denver for mountains and scenic views, but this city is also a haven for beer lovers. More than 15 breweries are found within the city limits. Here are two spots you have to go to grab a craft beer.

Great Divide
Found in beer distributors and bars all across the country, the Great Divide Brewing Company has been making craft beers since 1994. There are four locations in Denver, one in the Ballpark District, one at the airport, one on 35th Street, and one in Castle Rock. All are open daily with loads of options on draft as well as bottles to take home. Beers currently on tap range from a strawberry rhubarb sour to a double IPA. Try the Zooski Lager for something classic and easy to drink or taste the Pumpkin Ale to get in the mood for fall.

Jagged Mountain
Jagged Mountain Craft Brewery got its start in 2013 on 20th Street in Denver. Inspired by the city and its dwellers, this brewery strives to craft adventure and excitement into each brew. Visit their taproom any afternoon or evening and enjoy grub from local food trucks as well. Start with a Trailhead Beer like the Four Pass Pilsner for something traditional or branch out into the adventurous options with the Basecamp and Summit Beers like the bourbon barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout.

Whether you’re looking for a place to enjoy a drink with friends or want to add new brews to your Untappd list, these are great places to start. Check out these spots and others to enjoy all the craft beer Denver has to offer.
